Kevin P. Ryan — Chairman and Co-Founder
Kevin is one of the most accomplished and well known Internet entrepreneurs in New York City, having been involved with numerous success stories. From 1996-2005, first as President and later CEO, he helped build DoubleClick from a startup of 20 people to a very profitable global leader with over 1500 employees. During his tenure, Silicon Alley Reporter named DoubleClick "New York Company of the year" and he was named one of Crain's' "50 Most Influential Business People". DoubleClick was sold in 2005 for $1.1 billion to Hellman and Friedman. Kevin was also an early investor and board member of HotJobs, which was sold to Yahoo for $450 million in 2002. Prior to DoubleClick, he worked at United Media, Euro Disney and Prudential Investment Corp, in senior operational or financial roles.
Kevin is also Chairman and Co-Founder of the shopping search engine ShopWiki. In addition, he is on the board of Human Rights Watch, the advisory board of Doctors Without Borders, and a member of the Insead International Council, Yale International Council and the Council of Foreign Relations. He has served in the past on the boards of the Direct Marketing Association, the AdCouncil and NYC 2012.
Kevin has a BA from Yale and an MBA from INSEAD. He draws on his international experience including 14 years living in Paris, Geneva, London and Rome.
Dwight Merriman — Chairman and Co-Founder
Dwight Merriman is the Chairman of Panther Express. Prior to founding Panther Express, Dwight was Co-Founder of DoubleClick and served as DoubleClick's Chief Technology Officer for approximately ten years. He is also Chairman and Co-Founder of ShopWiki.
Dwight was architect of the DoubleClick ad serving infrastructure known as DART, which serves billions of ads per day on many of the largest sites on the Internet.
Previously, Dwight served as a software developer in the R&D group at DCA/Attachmate in Atlanta, Georgia. He received his bachelors of science degree with honors in systems analysis from Miami University of Ohio.
Steve Liddell — CEO
Prior to joining Panther Express as the CEO, Steve Liddell was an executive in the international telecommunications industry. Steve was the COO of Clearwire International where he was responsible for the international operations of this early stage WiMAX operator. Steve held senior leadership positions at Level 3 Communications, first as President of their Asia Division based in Hong Kong and later as Group Vice President in Colorado.
Earlier in his career, Steve built the international submarine business based in Virginia and the Asia Pacific region for MFS which became MCI-WorldCom based in Hong Kong. As President of the region, he secured a unique set of licenses and built an extensive infrastructure-based business covering eight countries across the region.
Most recently, Steve was an independent consultant advising two of the leading private equity firms, Columbia Capital and MC Venture Partners and leading the acquisition of GTS – an Eastern Europe telecommunications operator.
Steve began his telecommunications career at British Telecom, working in London, England and Atlanta, Georgia. While at BT, he held a number of business development and strategic roles, mainly focused on international M&A activities.
Steve has an MBA from Henley Management College, an MS in Semiconductor Electronics and a BS in Physics from Bristol University in the UK.
Dennis Morgan — CFO
Dennis Morgan is the Chief Financial Officer of Panther Express. He joined Panther from Vibrant Media, the video and contextual advertising network, where he was also CFO. Prior to that, he spent almost five years at Yahoo!, most recently as Vice President, Corporate Finance. During his tenure at Yahoo!, Morgan held a number of leadership roles within its finance group. He led the financial analysis of several major acquisitions, as well as the company's global planning and budgeting process. He created and led the finance group responsible for the financial analysis of its most significant revenue, partnership and spending transactions. He also served as the interim finance head for its search and search marketing businesses.
Prior to his post at Yahoo!, Morgan was an investment banker specializing in mergers and acquisitions at Thomas Weisel Partners and at Alex. Brown. A graduate of Dartmouth College, he holds an MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.
Philip Grieshaber — CTO
Philip Grieshaber is the Chief Technology Officer of Panther Express. He brings twenty years of full life cycle software development and operational expertise focusing on system performance and reliability. His responsibilities are ensuring that the architecture and technology at Panther Express are designed to be high performance, fault tolerant, scalable and cost effective
Philip comes to Panther Express from DoubleClick, where he most recently served as Technical Architect for DoubleClick's DART ad serving infrastructure, which processes billions of ad transactions daily.
Ian Van Hoven — Vice President, Service Delivery
As the leader of Panther Express’ Operations and Customer Support organizations, Ian is responsible for ensuring that Panther CDN delivers the highest possible quality of service to its customers. He brings 17 years of enterprise infrastructure management, software development and professional services experience to the role.
Before joining Panther CDN, Ian served 4 years as Director of Engineering and IT for OpSource, a pioneering enterprise managed services firm specializing in software-as-a-service (SaaS) enablement, where he helped grow the company from inception to the established market leader.
Prior to OpSource, Ian worked in various roles for Oracle, DoubleClick, NetGravity and SiteSmith.
Mark King — Vice President, Sales and Marketing
With more than 20 years experience in the IT and telecommunications industries, Mark King was most recently Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at TruWave Networks, where he was responsible for the development and implementation of the company's marketing strategy, as well as overseeing sales operations for the company's voice, data and high-speed Internet access services. Prior to joining TruWave Networks, Mark was Senior Vice President of Sales for more than five years at Level 3 Communications where he was responsible for leading the content and service providers channel on a national basis for customers in the tier one ISP segment, tier one cable operators, content, satellite and national VoIP providers.
During his first two-and-a-half years at Level 3 Communications, Mark was in charge of the entire national Wholesale Carrier Channel Communications and drove the transformation of the Level 3 sales organization. This included the implementation of CRM, market segmentation and development of programs to increase sales effectiveness in the field. Before Level 3 Communications, Mark was with IBM Corporation - serving eight years as an expatriate in Europe, the Middle East and Africa before returning to the United States.
Gad Stanislas — Vice President, International
Based in Paris, Gad is responsible for all international operations and sales. He brings significant experience to the position, having spent seven years at DoubleClick in a variety of positions in operations, sales and most recently as VP International Operations. In this position he was responsible for the international technical infrastructure. Prior to DoubleClick, Gad worked at the Internet service provider EUNet France. He graduated from the Institut Superieur de Gestion in France with semesters studying in Japan, England and the US.
